Currently, PerfDog cannot combine two different recording methods (FT placements and HT qualifiers) within one event. However, we offer two workarounds until this functionality is added.
Choosing the Right Option:
Option 1 (Recommended): Separate Events with "Partnering":

Benefits:
Each event receives accurate AKC paperwork (catalogs, etc.) with the correct recording method (placements for FT, qualifiers for HT).
Age verification for FT puppy stake.
Separate running orders, catalogs, and AKC paperwork on PerfDog.
Drawbacks:
Requires creating two separate events (contact [email protected] for assistance)
Option 2: Combine puppy stake within Hunt Test:

Benefits:
Simpler setup with one event.
Drawbacks:
No FT placements catalog, only a HT qualifiers catalog.
Manual completion of AKC form needed for FT placements.
No age verification for FT puppy stake (manual checking required).
Bracing sheets include all stakes, including the puppy stake (confusing).
Recommendation: We highly recommend Option 1 for accurate recordkeeping and proper AKC paperwork.

Note: If your club is holding a puppy field trial stake with a hunt test, the puppy stake may be the only stake found (as a Field Trial) in our database. Your related hunt test may not appear at all.
