PerfDog makes entering your dog in events quick and convenient. This guide will walk you through the online entry process after locating the event in our Event Search.
Is the event using PerfDog for online entry?
Look for "Enter online at PerfDog" on the event flyer or website.
If the event is not using PerfDog and is a Pointing Breed Hunt Test or Field Trial, use our FREE AKC entry form generator!

If you encounter an issue, try our messenger in the bottom right. For urgent matters, contact the event organizer, whose information is available under 'Event Status'.
1. Before you begin:
Have your dog's registration information handy (for AKC events and other dog sports)
Grab your credit card. (Checks are also accepted for some events via mail-in forms).
2. Finding the Event:
Visit the PerfDog app homepage or click "Events" in the top menu. For mobile, click "Search," then "Search events."
Explore events by location, dog club, date, or type.
Select an event to view details, fees, and the flyer/Premium List - all are listed on the event page.
Click "Enter Now!" to begin your dog's entry.
3. Entering Your Information:
Fill in your contact details.
Pro-Tip: Use a nickname you prefer on running orders (e.g., Bob instead of Robert).
Click "Next: Stakes (or Levels or Slots)" to continue.
If you haven't added dogs, you'll be prompted to do so first.
4. Adding Your Dog(s):
If you haven't already, add your dog(s) to your profile.

Click "Next" to choose the event categories (Stakes, Levels, Slots) you want to enter.
5. Selecting Stakes/Levels/Slots/Classes:
Choose the dog you want to enter.
The available levels will appear below. Select the ones you wish to enter by checking the boxes.
Examples of Stakes or Levels might be Beginner, Novice, Junior, or Open.
6. Choosing Handlers:
Choose different handlers for different stakes/levels and even designate alternates.

7. Leaving Notes (Optional):
Use the "Secretary Notes" box to share any important information about your dog or anything related to the entry.
8. Entering Multiple Dogs?
Choose "Yes" if you have another dog to enter, "No" if you're finished.
9. Reviewing Your Entry:
Double-check to make certain everything looks correct. Click "Update Cart" to confirm.
10. Shopping Cart & Payment:
Click "Click to Pay" on the Shopping Cart screen.
Choose your payment method: credit card or mailed-in check with a paper entry form.
We use secure Stripe processing. PerfDog never stores credit card information.
11. Confirmation & Emails:
Once your payment is complete, you'll see a confirmation screen followed by emails confirming your entry and payment.
Mailed-in entry form and Check option will not receive confirmation or emails until received by PerfDog by mail.
Tip: Add [email protected] to your contacts to ensure emails don't go to spam.
Congratulations! You've successfully entered your dog in the event with PerfDog.
