Master Hunter Excellent "Series 2" Stake

Add the "Series 2" placeholder stake to your event during Setup

Updated over a week ago

Here's how hunt test secretaries can add the MHX Series 2 "Stake":

  1. Create a Custom Stake:

    • Go to the section for managing stakes in the online system. (Setup -> Stakes)

    • Click the "Add Stake" button.

    • Name the new stake "MHX Series 2".

  2. Position the Stake:

    • You can place the stake wherever you want it to occur in the overall stake order.

  3. Set Entries to Zero:

    • Locate the setting for maximum entries for this stake.

    • Set the maximum entries to "0". This prevents anyone from accidentally registering for this placeholder stake.

  4. Price the Stake at $0:

    • Find the field for setting the entry fee for this stake.

    • Enter "0".

  5. Mark it Unofficial:

    • Locate the checkbox for marking the stake as "official".

    • Uncheck this box to exclude the MHX Series 2 stake from the final report. Only the official "MHX" stake (Series 1) should be reported to the AKC.

Using the Placeholder Stake:

Once you've created this placeholder stake, you can leave it in place until you're ready to populate it with qualified dogs from Series 1. When you know which dogs will be moving on to Series 2, simply:

  • Add those dogs to the MHX Series 2 stake within the online system.

  • Use the online system to generate the running order for Series 2.

This placeholder stake allows you to:

  • Email participants the next running order for Series 2 easily.

  • Prepare for live event alerts using the status update feature with the accurate running order.

By following these steps, Hunt Test secretaries can efficiently manage the MHX Series and ensure a smooth running order for both Series 1 and Series 2 participants.
