Event administrators have control over whether or not they want to refund a dog after the event closes. Entrants should contact the event secretary to handle situations such as these.

  • An event admin can cancel a dog's entry at anytime. After the event closes, an admin can cancel an entry and give the entrant a refund (less the processing fee). If you're an admin, make certain that you click the refund box that appears after closing if you want to provide the entrant with a refund.

  • If an entrant uses PerfDog to cancel their dog’s entry after the event closes, the website will not provide a refund. The cancellation and related transaction are not reversible.

  • If an event administrator wants to refund an entrant who canceled their entry after the event closed (and therefore, did not receive a refund at PerfDog), the easiest way to handle this is for the secretary to send or give the entrant a refund from the club. At this time, PerfDog does not provide this feature, but PerfDog will send the club the entry fees that were collected for that canceled dog's entry.


​If any dog’s entry is canceled before the event closes, PerfDog will automatically refund what they paid for the entry, less the processing fee (unless the club is covering the processing fees, which means the entry fee is fully refunded). If the entries were paid with a check and PerfDog has to send a refund check to the entrant, an additional $3 check mailing fee is deducted from the refund (or from the club's proceeds if they opt to cover the fees).
