How to Disable Check Payments for Your Non-AKC Event

Non-AKC event organizers can disable check payments for registrations

Updated over 6 months ago

This article will guide you through the process of disabling check payments for your upcoming non-AKC event on PerfDog.

Important Note: This setting does not disable the ability to allow people to bring checks if you let them into your event from the waiting list. To ensure no checks are allowed, choose the deadline option when letting dogs in from the waiting list.

Disabling Checks During Event Setup

  1. Navigate to Event Settings: While creating or editing your event, head to the Basics section.

  2. Payment Methods: Locate the setting labeled "Who pays processing fees?"

  3. Choose Your Option: Select the option that best suits your needs under the Payment Methods section.

Important Note: If your event already has registered participants or any partial registrations (someone has a registration in their cart), you won't be able to disable checks through the settings menu. See instructions below.

Disabling Checks for Existing Events

If your event already has entries and you want to disable checks, you'll need our assistance. Here's how to proceed:

  1. Contact PerfDog Support: Utilize the messenger bot located in the bottom right corner of your PerfDog screen. Alternatively, you can send an email to [email protected]

  2. Request Update: Clearly explain that you'd like to disable check payments for your specific event.

We'll process your request and update your event settings accordingly.

Tip

  • Consider including a note in your event premium list or flyer to inform participants about the payment method limitations.

If you have any further questions about payment processing or event settings on PerfDog, feel free to explore our Help Center for additional resources or contact our support team directly.
