How automatic membership renewal reminders work
Updated over 9 months ago

Once you've input all of your existing members (or members join through PerfDog), the renewal reminder emails are automatically sent according to your club's settings.

Check the boxes next to the reminders you want PerfDog to send. You'll be able to see a sample email by clicking the sample email button.

Our renewal reminder email

The PerfDog renewal reminder email looks like this. At this time, this email is not customizable.

Note: If you have uploaded the club logo to your website's home page, the PerfDog logo in the email will be replaced by your club's logo.

Note: Folks cannot renew by mailing a check to PerfDog. If a check is mailed to the Club, a Club administrator can manually update the member's status in the membership list.

Notifying members about renewing

At this time, PerfDog does not notify members ahead of time to let them know that your Club is using PerfDog for renewals. Their first email could be the reminder email, which they could ignore, or could go to their junk mailbox.

However, with our broadcast email feature, you can easily send a broadcast email to all of your members to let them know that they will receive emails from [email protected] for their Club Membership renewals and other Club-related emails. Feel free to use this template and edit as you like. See our text version below this screenshot to copy/paste.

Note: You can preview the email or send a test email to yourself before sending to all members so that you can make certain the formatting looks the way you want it to.

Text version (remember to change the club names and include club appropriate web addresses:

Thank you for being a member of The Ponderosa Pointing Dog Club!

It’s time for our members to renew their membership and we wanted to let you know that the PPDC has moved its membership renewal and new application process to an online service at PerfDog.

When you sign in at https://perfdog.com/, please use the email address this notice was sent to. This is the email address the club has on file for you. You can change your email in your profile after signing in and we ask that you please make sure all of your info is current. We encourage you to do this even if you're not due for renewal this year. If you're due to renew, you should receive an email from PerfDog with a link to the membership page before you're scheduled to expire. To prevent it from going into your spam or junk folder, we recommend adding [email protected] to your contacts list.

To reach the membership page:

Sign in or up at PerfDog. Search for PPDC in “Clubs” in the top toolbar of the home page or in the Research Zone at the bottom. Then choose “Membership" in the PPDC page's menu. From here, update and/or renew your membership.

Or, go here: *INCLUDE YOUR CLUB'S MEMBERSHIP PAGE LINK*

Our Club appreciates your support!

Here's another simple notification email:

Text version:

Hello,

I'm writing to remind you that it's time to renew your club membership.

This year, we're using PerfDog to streamline our membership renewal process. Please go to the PPDC club page, then membership, to renew for 2021.

Expired Members

Members who are input as "Expired" will not receive any communication or emails from PerfDog, UNLESS a club administrator sends an email to them through PerfDog.

Here's how you can send them an email to ask if they're interested in renewing.

  1. At the top of the Membership page, choose the Email members button.

  2. Then choose "Selected users in the system" under "Who will you send to."

  3. Choose your recipients.

  4. Type your Subject.

  5. Type your email.

  3. Click Clubs on the top toolbar

  4. Search (type Club name)

  5. Select “Membership”

  6. Follow the Application Process
